Susannah Neal is a nationally board certified Acupuncturist through the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) and is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Iowa. She graduated from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver, CO (1999). She has worked in a variety of settings including private practice in Fort Collins, CO (1999-2009), McKee Medical Center in Loveland, CO (2001-2005), and the Southwind Health Collective in Lawrence, KS (2009-2013). She also held a leadership role as Campus Director at the Southwest Acupuncture College, Boulder, CO (2013-15).
Susannah has additional training in the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage and traveled to San Ignacio, Belize, to study with Rosita Arvigo in the early 2000’s. She completed the certification of the program in 2005. She also has studied Chi Nei Tsang with Gilles Marin and has completed over 50 hours of training.
Susannah is a Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master and Karuna Master. She uses Reiki in all of her sessions and also has taught Reiki and offers distance sessions upon request. She is a 200-hour trained yoga instructor, though she currently is not teaching.
Susannah and her husband relocated from Boulder, CO to Iowa City in July, 2017. Her husband of 27 years is a journalism educator and Executive Director of a non-profit organization. Her passion is to live a healthy lifestyle and she enjoys cooking plant-based food, meditation, yoga, walking her dog, and caring for her elderly mother.
